Learn the basics of hand sewing and see where they can take you. Projects will include needle case, felt picture frame, note pad holder, pouches, stuffed animals…. We will be working with fleece, denim, canvas and felt using buttons, beads and thread galore.

Come for 1 day or all 4. There will be a variety of projects each day for kids to work on at their own pace and interest. Projects will include working with wood, hand sewing, painting, mask making and more.

It’s all about style and substance... Barb Smith Ages: 8+ Fee: $225 Monday – Friday, July 18th – July 22nd 9:30 – 1:30 During this week we will explore diverse styles of art working around the same subject matter in 5 different mediums. The mediums will include: painting, drawing, fabric/yarn, wire & wood and printing. Each day students will be challenged to create works in abstract, impressionistic and expressionistic styles using the day’s medium around one subject of their choosing. Join in this creative exploration of artistic styles and materials.
Let’s Tour the Mediterranean through Food and Art Cooking/Art Camp Session #1 Ages 12-14 Fee: $400 Pantry at Delancey and Lauren Molloy-Johnson Monday – Friday, July 25th –July 29th 9:30-3:00 FULL
Join us for a culinary tour of the Mediterranean! We'll start in Spain and learn how to make the classic Spanish tortilla. From there we'll head to Morocco and cook up a spicy and sweet Chicken Tagine. Next is Italy, where we'll learn the art of handmade pasta. After that, we'll land in Greece to make lamb meatballs with tomato sauce and yogurt. We'll end our tour in Lebanon, where we'll make hummus from scratch and a fattoush salad. All classes will include side dishes as well as dessert. Vegetarian option with advance notice. In the afternoon we will continue our tour as we discover the rich arts of the Mediterranean. We will paint, inspired by the great Spanish painters Picasso, Miro, and Dali; we will make journals and sketch as the great DaVinci of Italy made it his practice; we will create beautiful mosaics looking to the Lebanese culture for inspiration; we will make colorful beads emulating the jewelry of Morocco as well as experiment with henna; and we will decorate terra cotta pots in the tradition of the Greeks.

Each day you will have several art projects to choose from including: book making, jewelry, sewing, painting, print making and more. The week is all about experimenting with different materials and styles of art in a relaxed fun way.
All about You Lauren Molloy-Johnson Ages 6+ Fee: $225 Full Monday – Friday August 22nd – August 26th 9:30-1:30 Spend the day making things that you can use and enjoy. We will have fun learning. Each day we will make a piece of jewelry, something for your room and something the share with others. We will explore tie-dye, card making, personal adornment and room decorating.
